Architecture Considerations
The parking facility beneath the musical fountain in the southern section of Iran Mall consists of 6 floors with a capacity of approximately 2,700 vehicles, while also incorporating a number of commercial and service spaces. The amenities in this section include 18 elevator lines, 4 escalator lines, 2 electric ramp lines, 440 storage units, a prayer room with 55 restroom fixtures. To facilitate access for visitors from various sections, two tunnels provide entry from the eastern and western sides of the project.
Given that the entire facility is constructed at basement level, 25 sump pits equipped with 50 submersible and sludge pumps, along with automatic control and protection systems, have been installed for wastewater disposal and surface water collection
Engineering Considerations
The parking floors are primarily constructed using concrete structures and 9-meter-long prestressed hollow-core precast slabs manufactured in a factory to maximize execution speed while maintaining strength and quality. Fire suppression systems, comprising both automatic (sprinkler) and manual (fire hose cabinets) components, have been executed using seamless galvanized steel pipes with threaded and grooved fittings to ensure higher system durability and minimal maintenance requirements. Ventilation in these parking areas utilizes the most modern exhaust fans and intelligent jet fans for smoke extraction, controlled by carbon monoxide sensors, to maintain optimal air quality under normal conditions and effective smoke evacuation during fire incidents, while keeping energy consumption within acceptable limits.
- Advanced water and wastewater disposal infrastructure: Design and implementation of 25 sump pits equipped with 50 dewatering and sludge pumps with fully automatic control and protection systems.
- Concrete structure with precast prestressed ceilings: Using 9-meter precast hollowcore ceilings increases structural strength, construction quality, and speeds up the construction process.
- Smart and safe ventilation system: Using modern jet fans and exhaust fans controlled by carbon monoxide sensors to maintain air quality and evacuate smoke in case of fire.
- Fire safety with a minimal maintenance approach: Implementation of automatic and manual fire extinguishing systems with seamless galvanized steel pipes and durable connections, ensuring long-term durability and safety.
